Welcome to the Bloomfield Extension Program, a before and after school enrichment program in operation for students at the following schools; Wintonbury Early Childhood Magnet School (WECMS), Laurel, Metacomet, and Carmen Arace Intermediate School.  

The Extension Program is designed to offer enrichment activities to students which include recreation and games, arts & crafts, organized sports, homework assistance (Laurel, Metacomet and CAIS) and time for the students to pursue their own interests in a safe and supportive environment.

The Extension program is administered by a Program Director and has a Coordinator at each of the schools to support the daily operations.  Many of the Extension team members are also employed in another role by the Bloomfield Schools which allows for consistency throughout your child’s school day. 

The Extension Program also operates a full day camp during the summer.
