The Department of Social and Youth Services is an advocate for individuals, children, and families. We promote the well-being, self-sufficiency, and quality of life for residents of Bloomfield by providing help and referral services for those facing a variety of problems.
West Hartford Bloomfield Health District provides full-time professional public health services to residents in both towns including immunizations, senior wellness clinics, health education and more
The Bloomfield Lions Club exist to serve. , A few of the services sight pre-screening to preschoolers and elementary students, "Meals on Wheels"deliveries, collecting fund to support the CT Lions Eye Research Foundation, scholarships to local High School graduates

Alliance for Bloomfield's Children
The Alliance for Bloomfield’s Children (ABC) is a committed group of parents, early childhood professionals, community members and government partners, who are dedicated to ensuring that all of Bloomfield’s children from birth to eight years old are healthy, nurtured, educated and supported by their communities.

This office serves as an information resource center, including the Town's website and social media platforms for the public and all stakeholders, by developing a communications plan and implementing information strategies uniquely developed for Bloomfield.
Adult Education & Continuing Education GED, ABE, ESL and American Citizenship courses are free to Bloomfield residents. No Tuition Charges or Fees for Mandated Courses: In compliance with Connecticut General Statutes Sec.10-73a there is no fee for registration, books or materials to any adult enrolled in the Citizenship, ESL or high school completion programs.
We work to raise awareness that too many in our community lack access to basic needs that are essential throughout individuals’ lifespans. Our work helps ensure families have enough diapers for their infants and toddlers, individuals have access to period supplies, and youths and adults in need can access incontinence products. No one should have to worry about affording these basic needs.
