Lynette Easmon

Lynette Easmon, Chair

Lynette Easmon is a Managing Paralegal for Litigation and eDiscovery at a Financial Services company. She currently serves as the Chair of the Bloomfield Democratic Town Committee, Chair of the Rockwell Park ad Hoc Committee, member of the Town Council Golf Sub-Committee, and Board member for Ironwood Community Partners. She is also Chair and Treasurer of WASE (Women Accelerating Social Equity) and a member of the Carmen Arace Middle and Bloomfield High School PTOs.

Mrs. Easmon received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Connecticut and her Master’s degree in Science and Criminal Justice from Albertus Magnus College. Lynette and her family have resided in Bloomfield since 2006. Her two children currently attend Bloomfield Public Schools.

Through her work and advocacy on the Bloomfield Board of Education, Mrs. Easmon intends to ensure students receive the resources they need to be a success in school and life.

Howard Steven Frydman, Vice Chair

Howard Steven Frydman has served as General Manager and Executive Director of Bloomfield Access Television for the past 28 years. Mr. Frydman has worked in the field of television, radio and print media for over 35 years and has coordinated many local and statewide public events. Mr. Frydman has also served politically in various elected positions including: Bloomfield Library Board of Director, Selectmen, Registrar of Voters and Justice of the Peace. Howard additionally serves on the Board of Directors for Bloomfield’s Continuing Education and Bloomfield Federation Homes. Howard was a founding member of the Bloomfield Winterfest/Light Up The Town Holiday Event.

His movie, theater and food reviews have been syndicated in several newspapers in Connecticut including: "The Airport News" the official newspaper for Connecticut's Bradley International Airport, The North Central News, CT Business Journal, Bloomfield Messenger and BATV . He is the recipient of the Connecticut "Hometown Hero" Award, Connecticut Jaycee Outstanding Citizen Award and the National Army Citizen Service Award. A Graduate of Central Connecticut State University majoring in Sociology and Bloomfield resident for over 55 years.

Femi Bogle-Assegai, Secretary

Femi Bogle-Assegai selected education as her professional path at the age of sixteen, and has been committed to the "education" of people for the last forty years.

Her work in the field has been at many levels, within both private and public institutions, in England, the United States, Africa and the Caribbean. Today, she is a retired educator, however Ms. Bogle-Assegai continues to work as an Adjunct Professor within the Connecticut State University system.

At this time her primary focus revolves around the volunteer work with young people as the CEO of Sankofa-Kuumba, a community based non-profit Arts organization. Femi Bogle-Assegai is directly responsible for directing the strategic arts programming for the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, the writing and securing of grants from the CT Humanities and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

Sankofa-Kuumba's vision is one that aligns well with Ms. Bogle-Assegai’s own, that is: “the promotion of greater understanding and knowledge of the rich history and culture of Africa and the African diaspora" to the young people of Greater Hartford, which includes Bloomfield’s children.

Kimberly Dunbar

Kimberly Dunbar is a dedicated professional with over 20 years of experience. She currently serves as an Associate Retirement Benefits Officer at The Office of State Comptroller, where she holds a supervisory role. With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and a Minor in MIS from Eastern Connecticut State University, Mrs. Dunbar has a strong foundation in finance, community engagement, and policy development.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Kimberly is deeply rooted in the Bloomfield community, having lived there for over 15 years. She is married and has two children who attend both Bloomfield and CREC School Systems. Her commitment to community involvement is evident through her active participation on various committees and organizations, including the Metacomet Parent Teacher Organization Board, Portrait of a Graduate program, and Rockwell Park Planning Committee.

Mrs. Dunbar's community engagement extends to youth sports as well, as she has previously served on the Bloomfield Raiders Youth Football Executive Board in both 2021 and 2022 and was a member of The Bloomfield Raiders and Bloomfield Junior Warhawks Merger Committee in 2022.

Kimberly is not alone in her dedication to the community, as her husband is also actively involved, having coached football for three years. Together, they exemplify a strong commitment to the well-being and growth of the Bloomfield community.

As a newly appointed member, Kimberly's mission is to be an advocate for the Bloomfield Community. She aims to collaborate with the school district, town, and parents to help shape policies that ensure every student has access to a high-quality education, equipping them with the academic, creative problem-solving, and social-emotional skills needed for success in college and their careers.

Lisa Simone

Dr. Lisa Simone

Dr. Lisa Simone is an educational professional with a social work and educational leadership background. She holds a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University, a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, and a superintendent certification. She has over two decades of experience in K-12 settings, including ten years as the alternative school coordinator in the Bloomfield Public School District.  Dr. Simone has spent most of her career working with disenfranchised students in alternative schools and juvenile justice settings, where she demonstrated her commitment to providing educational opportunities for all students. 

Currently, she serves as an Alternative Educational Director, working closely with middle and high school students while directing three juvenile justice education programs in residential settings across Connecticut. Her multifaceted role involves promoting innovative educational practices and ensuring that young individuals receive the support they need for successful rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Additionally, Dr. Simone contributes to the academic community as an adjunct social work and education professor, sharing her expertise and nurturing the next generation of professionals in these crucial disciplines.

Dr. Simone's extensive educational and leadership background, combined with her dedication to alternative education and juvenile justice, underscores her commitment to positively impacting the lives of young individuals and the social work and education field. Her diverse experiences and academic contributions highlight her as a knowledgeable and compassionate leader in her respective fields.

Tiffany Mack-Mohammed

Tiffany Mack-Mohammed

Tiffany is a native of Hartford, CT, and a 10+ year resident of Bloomfield, CT, along with her husband and two children.

Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Hartford.

Tiffany currently works as an HR Manager for The Walt Disney Co.  She has 20 years of experience in HR with expertise in the healthcare, media/entertainment, and financial services industries. Tiffany is passionate about HR, specifically those seeking access to the field.  She has served for many years on the board of her local Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) chapter, including her role as the Director of Young Professionals for the local SHRM chapter.  She holds a certification as a Senior HR professional (SHRM-SCP) and continues to support her local SHRM chapter and their national programs. In 2021, Tiffany was recognized as a DEI Champion Awardee by the National Diversity Council.  In addition, she holds a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate, a Certified Workplace Mediator, a Certified Trainer in Workplace Conflict Resolution, and a Workplace Investigator.  

Tiffany is a proud member of The Links, Incorporated.  In addition, she loves to serve in her local community through the Democratic Town Committee (DTC), her children’s parent-teacher association, and her local church home.

Thomas Moore

Thomas Moore is retired Assistant Supervisor for the State of Connecticut Judicial Court. He is also a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Thomas Moore graduated from Hartford Public Schools and graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University. He serves on several local committees, is a member of the New Testament Church and is a volunteer at Bloomfield Rehabilitation Healthcare. Mr. Moore moved to Bloomfield in 1996. After leaving Bloomfield for a brief time, he returned as a resident in 2016. Thomas is the father of two young women who graduated from Bloomfield Public Schools.

Mr. Moore was recently appointed to a four year term on the Board of Education. As a new member of the Board, he looks forward to making Bloomfield schools a first class educational institution by working with students, teachers, administrators and families in seeing that our schools are successful and meet the educational needs of our students.
