Anne Burrows, head girls track & field coach at Bloomfield High School, has been awarded the 2023 CT Girls High School Track & Field Coach of the Year.
This is the fourth time Burrows has won the award, administered by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The honor recognizes leadership and a team’s overall success in a season.
In the past 10 years, BHS’ girls track & field teams have won 19 Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference state titles. The boys’ track & field teams have also been successful in the past decade, winning 12 CIAC state titles.
