On May 29, 2024 we had the opportunity to share in a celebration of our staff at the Bloomfield Public Schools’ Education Celebration. During this event, the district honored colleagues who served for the past 25, 30 and 35 years and our 2023-2024 retirees.
At the Education Celebration we also recognized eight extraordinary teachers who were nominated by their peers as the Bloomfield Teachers of the Year candidates. Of these amazing representatives, the committee selected one candidate for consideration of The Connecticut Teacher of the Year. A very special shout-out goes to Metacomet’s Ms. Elka Spencer who has been named the 2024 Bloomfield Teacher of the year!
This annual celebration acknowledges our staffs’ dedication and commitment to the community of Bloomfield. On behalf of the Bloomfield Public Schools, we thank our honorees for their contributions towards the education of Bloomfield’s children and for sharing in the responsibility of caring for this community.
