After collecting community feedback on the strengths and challenges of the Bloomfield Public Schools from numerous constituencies, the Bloomfield Public Schools Board of Education evaluated nearly twenty candidates for the position of superintendent of schools. Through a series of interviews with select candidates, the Board is proud to announce that Dr. Tracy Youngberg has been selected as Bloomfield’s next Superintendent of Schools.
Demonstrated by her professional achievements and her performance during the interview process, Dr. Youngberg has shown that she possesses the qualities, attributes, and experience desired in our next superintendent. The official election of the superintendent is scheduled to take place at a public meeting on November 12, 2024, and Dr. Youngberg will begin serving in her new role on December 12, 2024. In the meantime, the Board, through its search consultants, is conducting comprehensive credential and background checks, and the district's attorney is engaged in early contract negotiations with the candidate.
