Bloomfield graduates

On Wednesday, January 29th, Dr. Youngberg hosted a luncheon for Bloomfield Public School (BPS) employees who are also Bloomfield High School (BHS) graduates. The group of ten employees hold a variety of integral positions across the district and represent a span of 40 years of BHS alumni. "These employees are a very real reminder that the work we do Pre-K-12 is truly shaping the lives of our students and the community at large. There has been a big push across the state to “grow your own”. I want to remind the community that Bloomfield Public Schools is already doing that", said Superintendent Youngberg.

Ranging from Bloomfield High School Class of 1979 through the Class of 2019, the "Warhawks at Work" enjoyed a trip down memory lane through their personal stories, as well as lunch from the local restaurant T.J. Burritos. Dr. Youngberg is proud to report that three of her lunch guests were students of hers when she was a teacher and a principal at Carmen Arace.

Her vision for the future of the district includes ensuring the district is regularly finding ways to develop and support our current employees along their career paths, while simultaneously providing mentoring opportunities for our high school students.

If you are a member of the Warhawks at Work group but missed this luncheon, Dr. Youngberg would still love to hear from you. Go, BPS! Go, Warhawks! 💙🧡
