Congratulations to Bloomfield High School’s Unified Sports Team for being showcased at Mohegan Sun earlier this month.
Special Olympics Unified Sports teams from 16 high schools across the state enjoyed the honor and opportunity to play half-time games at Mohegan Sun Arena in front of crowds of fans during the CIAC Basketball Championship games on March 15-16. Bloomfield High School’s Unified Basketball team played on Sunday, March 16 during the halftime of the Division IV Boys Championship game between Ellington and Sheehan. This is a yearly event offered to selected schools with Unified teams and has been a highlight, not only for our athletes and partners, but for everyone in attendance. It is a great way to showcase our Unified teams and an exciting experience for our Unified athletes. This was Bloomfield’s third trip to Mohegan Sun to play a halftime game with their Unified team.
We are so proud of each and every one of you!
