We are reaching out to share that the Penguin Patch Holiday Shop will return next week Monday, December 11- Friday, December 15.
It is a way for students to learn about the gift of giving while also raising funds for our student activities account. Items range in cost from $0.25 to $14.50 and we get a 25% profit.
Thus far this year our fundraisers have supported student player t-shirts in the staff vs. student basketball game, card games for use during lunch waves, and a bowling field trip for students that completed their math and reading summer assignments. We are excited to offer this opportunity to our students.

Another successful Food Drive for the district. Buses at all seven schools were stuffed with non-perishable food items and delivered to the Bloomfield Food Bank yesterday. Thanks to all for your generous spirit. Happy Thanksgiving!
The district’s Thanksgiving recess runs from Wednesday, Nov.22 to Friday, Nov. 24. Schools and central office will be closed.
Eight Carmen Arace Middle School students are experiencing the fields of science and laboratory medicine through a novel 10-week after-school partnership with the Center for DNA-Guided Medicine in Hartford.
The Center’s Director of Educational Programs Dr. Mohan Kocheria, and colleagues, have been overseeing the session. The goal of CAMS Youth Academy after-program’s goal is to expose students to careers in science, laboratory medicine and research. The sessions engage students with a hybrid approach to learning, combining classroom instruction and laboratory-activity.
This year’s weekly sessions end in mid-December and will start again in January of 2024.
Bloomfield High School's FFA Leadership Team and Harris Agriscience Center Director Jaunice Edwards-Hassan traveled to Indianapolis recently for the 96th National FFA Convention & Expo. The convention focuses on growing the next generation of leaders. During this event, FFA members learn how they can influence world with their gifts and talents
