Happy Friday, Metacomet families! Here is a friendly reminder that our school fundraiser is due on Friday, September 26th and dress down begins Friday, October 3rd. Be sure to check out next week’s principal newsletter. Also, mark your calendars! The second annual STEM Expo will be held at BHS on October 18, 2025 from 11 AM - 3 PM. All families are welcome to attend. Free admission. Have a fantastic weekend, and we look forward to another great week ahead.

Saint Mary’s Hospital, Trinity Health Of New England, is proud to host the Second Annual Black Men In White Coats Youth Summit in Waterbury, CT on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This transformative event is held in partnership with the national Black Men In White Coats organization, which is designed to ignite a passion for careers in health care through mentorship, networking and leadership among youth.

Good afternoon, parents and guardians. We will begin testing our students in reading and math starting on Monday, September 8, 2025. We are using iReady and m-Class Dibbles to test. Our teachers will review your child's scores during our parent conferences on October 29, 30 or 31. Have a good evening.
